Mikki Morris

Mikki is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Colorado. She earned her Bachelor’s in Social Work at the University of St Thomas in St. Paul, MN, and later earned her Master’s in Social Work at Colorado State University. After nearly a decade of treating adults with eating disorders in the high levels of care at Eating Recovery Center of Denver, Mikki ventured into the outpatient world of private practice.

Mikki continues to specialize in the treatment of adults (age 17+) with eating disorders of all types, as well as in providing support through individual therapy to their loved ones. She is also passionate about providing therapy for adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions (ie moving to a new city, marriage, divorce, entering or graduating from college, etc), and shame.

Mikki approaches psychotherapy and assessment from a person-centered approach, focused on meeting each client where they are. She operates from the perspective that we are all human, and therefore imperfect – herself included. She works to create an environment in which the client is met with non-judgmental empathy, and can feel safe in exploring their true identity and discovering their own self-worth. Authenticity and compassion are Mikki’s top values, and shape her therapeutic style. Her goal is to walk alongside you on your journey from just surviving, to thriving, in life.
