Debra is a certified member of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and the Colorado State Speech and Hearing Association (CSHA). She has over 15 years of experience working in a variety of settings including pediatric outpatient clinics, brain injury rehabilitation hospitals and day programs, public school settings and private practice. She has attended numerous workshops in the areas of early literacy, learning disabilities and motor speech disorders. She is a recipient of the ASHA “ACE” Award for her commitment to Continuing Education.

Debra’s undergraduate training was in Psychology and Linguistics. She received her B.A. from the University of Manitoba, in 1991. She completed her Master’s of Science Degree in Speech and Language Pathology from Minot State University in North Dakota in 1993. Upon graduation she received the Graduate School ’s Citation for Excellence Award for superior academic record and scholarly achievements.

Debra strives to provide evidence-based comprehensive and cost effective services to families. Parents and caregivers of young children are encouraged to observe therapy sessions to learn how they can support their child at home. Providing home programming activities are one of the many ways Lowry Speech Therapy helps families to maximize successful outcomes for their child.

Debra provides comprehensive assessment and treatment for the following:
