Christina Sevilla, MA, OTR

Christina is an occupational therapist with over ten years of experience with sensory integrative therapy/sensory processing disorder, developmental delay, feeding and fine motor/ handwriting issues in clinical, school, and home-based settings.  Christina’s experience includes several years working at Children's Hospital, Los Angeles and The Children's Hospital, Denver practicing in rehabilitation and sensory integration clinics. In addition to traditional occupational therapy, Christina offers Tomatis-based Integrated Listening therapy as a powerfully effective method to treat a variety of issues for children and adults:

  • Children with learning problems and difficulty with listening and sustaining attention (ADD/ADHD
  • Children with sensory processing issues and sensory integrative dysfunction.
  • Children and adults who have auditory processing disorders or dyslexia.
  • Children and adults desiring improved memory, concentration, and focus.
  • Children and adults who would benefit from improved speed of language processing.
  • Children and adults with depression, anxiety or decreased energy.
  • People who would like to enhance their productivity, performance and creativity.
  • People including the elderly, who would benefit from improved balance and coordination.
  • People who have difficulty with verbal expression including those with autism, Aspergers Syndrome and pervasive developmental disorder (PDD).

Listening therapy uses altered sound frequencies to stimulate neural activity and integrate sensory input to the brain. At the conclusion of therapy significant improvements may be seen in several or more of the following areas: reading, spelling, writing, listening, attention, focus, organization, comprehension, visual, auditory and/or sensory processing skills, independence in regard to homework, speech, memory, math, stress levels, mood, social skills, balance, coordination, right-left discrimination, creativity, musical ability and sports performance.
